Just recently, Lamborghini has announced its plan to keep the powerful V12 in production for a few more years.
With their current flagship model using such a huge motor, the Aventador’s successor is said to arrive in 2020 and will have a great power increase from a new motor. Power is rumored to be drawn from a 7L V12 estimated to crank out 800 horsepower, which is 110 more than current models and 60 more than the limited run of SuperVeloce vehicles.
If that is not enough, the Italian automaker’s range-topping version will house not just the engine, but two electric power units. All together, they will crank out a mega 1,000 horsepower, if not more, and 1,198 Nm of torque.
Moreover, the Aventador success could be fitted with a plug-in hybrid V8 drivetrain rated at 700 horses.
